Louisiana Looks To Change Trashy Ways

State lawmakers want to change trashy ways, and they're willing to put people in jail who don't want to cooperate.

Current penalties for first and second offenses include fines that range from $900 to $5000 and community service.

Recently-passed HB 35 allows the option of 30 days in jail as a punishment for gross littering in Louisiana, in an effort to address a problem that costs the state nearly $40 million per year.
