The ongoing regular session of the Louisiana Legislature will draw to an early close on Friday.
But, lawmakers will only get a brief break before having to address the state's money woes in a special session on the budget called by Governor John Bel Edwards.
That get-together is to begin next Tuesday and will have a goal of fixing the massive $700 million fiscal crisis facing the state July 1st due to expiring tax measures.
