One of the most restrictive anti-abortion laws in the nation is now awaiting Governor John Bel Edwards' signature.

The Louisiana Legislature gave final approval Wednesday to Senate Bill 181, which bans abortions in the state after a 15-week pregnancy, with violators facing up to two years in prison.  Abortions are currently barred in Louisiana after 20 weeks.

The 15-week ban won't be enforced unless a federal court upholds similar legislation in Mississippi.
