Thousands Of Felons On Verge Of Getting Voting Rights Back

Governor Edwards is expected to sign legislation that gives many convicted felons on parole or probation in Louisiana the right to vote after it won final approval Thursday.

Such restoration would take place five years after they're released from prison.

If Edwards does in fact sign HB 265, it'll take effect next March.
