Forward Momentum Towards State Budget Fix

There is some forward progress to report in the efforts of state lawmakers to come up with a solution to Louisiana's budget crisis.

Five spending proposals are headed to the full House for consideration after clearing the chamber's Appropriations Committee yesterday.

A new budget has to be hammered out and approved by Monday or lawmakers can expect to be called back for another special session almost immediately.
