The Humane Society of Louisiana is working with police to find answers after the severed head of a cat was discovered on a New Orleans sidewalk.
A press release issued by the Humane Society this morning said a woman was walking near Eleonore and Coliseum Streets when she found the black and white cat head. She walked around looking for the body of the cat along with any indication of a struggle, but came up empty handed.
The humane society said it seemed as if the head was severed with a sharp tool and intentionally placed like a trophy.
