Governor John Bell Edwards is going to call another special session after an upsetting end to the last session.
Governor Edwards is hoping to add more money into the spending plan for the fiscal year beginning on July 1st by coming to terms with lawmakers.
State officials were combing through the budget once again trying to figure out how to distribute funding, as both sides were close to an agreement Monday night before time ran out.
Under the current budget, TOPS tuition program, colleges, child welfare programs and healthcare are all facing a slash in funding.
