The time will be quickly dwindling on the latest special legislative session to address Louisiana's budget crisis.
State lawmakers went back to work yesterday for a ten-day meeting with the goal of addressing a $650 million shortfall in revenue effective July 1st.
If the red ink isn't erased by then, the earlier approved $29 billion state budget will remain with program cuts impacting everything from TOPS to healthcare.
