Three of eight tax bills have cleared the Louisiana House Ways and Means Committee and will be considered today by the full House.
This is the fourth day of a third special session called to deal with the state's budget mess that includes a more than half-billion-dollar fiscal cliff July 1st if lawmakers fail to approve revenue-raising legislation.
The tax measures that survived Wednesday's committee action would each keep part of an expiring one-percent sales tax ranging from as low as three-tenths to as high as a half-percent.
