The fall of gas prices continues across the Pelican State on this, the second full-day of summer.
According to AAA, the statewide average price of regular is dropping to just below the $2.59 a gallon mark as the weekend arrives. That's down three cents compared to last Friday, but still about 50 cents higher than a year ago.
It's been four years since gas prices were this high at this time of the year.
