A New Orleans woman is facing charges for allegedly hitting a man in the head with a brick and trying to steal his wallet.
The attack took place in the St. Roch area on St. Claude Avenue early this morning. The victim of the attack said he initially pushed the woman away when she approached him, but she started to follow him.
She then allegedly hit the victim in the head with a brick and attempted to steal his wallet, but the victim was able to fight her off.
Police identified the suspect as 52-year-old Jennifer McKenzie. She was booked into Orleans Justice Center this morning on one count each of attempted armed robbery and possession of drug paraphernalia.
