Annual Kids Count Data Ranks Louisiana 49th In Nation

Data for the 2018 Kids Count report issued Wednesday ranks the Pelican State 49th in the nation, down from last year's 48th place ranking.

The report is based on four areas, those being education, health, economic well-being, as well as family and community.

The state's economic well-being ranking was dead last, with about 314,000 kids in the state living in poverty.
