An inmate's taste of freedom is over.
Authorities say 29-year-old Chris Brewer is back behind bars hours after he escaped from a holding room Wednesday morning at the St. Helena Parish Jail.
Brewer fled the lockup after changing out of his prison uniform into different clothing. He's now expected to face an escape charge on top of being accused of burglarizing a religious building and criminal damage to property.
