NHC: Slim Chance Rainmaker In Gulf Becomes Something More

The National Hurricane Center is giving a slim chance of further development to a large area of showers and storms just off the Gulf Coast.

Its proximity to land have led forecasters to keep that chance at just 10% over the next five days, though the system is expected to move inland over southeast Louisiana Tuesday.

Despite a low chance of tropical development, the system could be a rainmaker through the middle of the week.
