Louisiana's two U.S. senators, both of them Republicans, are reacting favorably to President Trump's pick of Brett Kavanaugh as his nominee for the Supreme Court.
In a statement released by his office, Senator Bill Cassidy described Kavanaugh as a "conservative faithful to the Constitution as written."
Senator John Kennedy says he will seek to learn more about Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearing, especially "how he would interpret the Constitution when it's not clear."
