One day down and two more to go for candidates to qualify for the November elections in Louisiana.
The only statewide office is for the seat vacated earlier this year by Secretary of State Tom Schedler amid sexual harassment claims.
Six U.S. House seats, including the 6th District post held by Republican Garret Graves of Baton Rouge and the 1st District seat held by House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, are to be decided as well as numerous local political contests.
