The sex abuse allegations against a former gymnastics coach in Plaquemines Parish are growing in number.
The sheriff's office confirmed Monday that at least six girls say that 48-year-old Arthur Bowlin of Marrero had inappropriate contact with them between 2001 and 2006 while he was an assistant coach at Fliptastics Gymnastics in Belle Chasse.
Bowlin has been charged with 35 counts of molestation of a juvenile, four counts of sexual battery and one count of first-degree rape.
