Concern about erosion prompted a brief one-day closure of Northshore Beach in Slidell.
Officials in St. Tammany Parish said the beach off of Carr Drive on Lake Pontchartrain is seeing more erosion than is normal, potentially leading to dangerous conditions.
Repairs were expected to take several days, but a press release on Friday said that "due to the efficiency and diligence of Public Works crews," the work was finished on Friday.
