A state audit finds that more than $3 million designed to combat Medicaid fraud was not properly deposited by the Louisiana Department of Health nor the Attorney General's Office.
Legislative Auditor Daryl Purpera released a report today questioning the oversight of the state's Medicaid program after finding the money was not deposited during the 2016 fiscal year.
The Health Department and AG's office say they have corrected the issues raised by the audit and the money has been properly transferred.
