Governor John Bel Edwards may face a familiar adversary in his bid for re-election.
Republican Attorney General Jeff Landry tells the Shreveport Times he's being encouraged to run for governor when he is out meeting people or speaking to groups around the state.
Landry says people want a candidate that can unite the Republican Party against the incumbent Democrat Edwards, adding that candidate doesn't have to be him, but it might be if he thinks it's for the betterment of Louisiana.
