If hailing a cab, taking an Uber or renting a bike isn't enough of a choice for getting around New Orleans, the option of traveling by electric scooter is a work in progress.
Gambit reports that three ordinances are being drafted with input from the Cantrell administration to regulate app-based scooter companies.
The six-month pilot program would ban the use of the electric scooters in the French Quarter and only permit rentals between dawn and dusk.
