It appears that the more than 100,000 Louisiana residents who get their health care coverage through the Affordable Care Act exchange will be getting a break from increasing premiums.
The Advocate reports premiums are forecast to drop by an average of 6.4% in 2019.
State Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon calls the news encouraging, even though premiums for ACA-related policies increased an average of 18.5% this year in Louisiana.
