A New York man is facing federal charges after allegedly phoning threats to two U.S. congressmen, one of them Republican House Majority Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana.

Authorities have charged 63-year-old Carlos Bayon of Grand Island with interstate communication of a threat.

He's accused of leaving voicemails earlier this week, the caller in part saying, "You are taking ours, we are taking yours.  Anytime, anywhere."

Bayon could face up to five years in prison if convicted.
