There's no word yet on whether he'll accept, but President Trump is being invited to visit the State Penitentiary in Angola by Gov. John Bel Edwards.
Edwards extended the offer as he and other state leaders met with Trump Thursday at his New Jersey golf club to talk about criminal justice reform.
Edwards was the only Democrat invited to take part and has boasted of advances made in the state in reducing incarcerations and reducing the recidivism rate.
