NOLA Public Works Employees Strike For Better Pay

Some employees of the City of New Orleans Public Works Department are apparently striking for better pay.

FOX 8 News reports about a dozen workers will reportedly picket in front of City Hall this morning. They are seeking a meeting with Mayor LaToya Cantrell to discuss their working conditions, with hopes of having their pay upped to $18 an hour.

The workers claim they can't afford to live in New Orleans on what they make now.
