Opelousas police are continuing an investigation into a disturbing development Monday.
Officials say a trespasser carrying ammunition was arrested Sunday night on the campus of Park Vista Elementary. A subsequent search resulted in a K-9 officer and the dog's handler locating a firearm on the grounds of the school.
Police say 19-year-old Travyone Adams is facing charges in the case.
