Yet another school is making headlines for sending a student home because of their hairstyle, this time in Lousiana.
A Christ the King student from Terrytown was sent home because she has hair extensions. Administrators say the school implemented a new policy only allowing students to have natural hair, and they had informed the student's parents her hair wasn't in compliance last week.
Her parents, however, say they went to meet the teachers before the start of classes and nobody notified them her hair was not in compliance. The girl's family is planning to meet with an attorney today to file a discrimination lawsuit against the school.
This comes just days after a similar incident took place with a student in Florida.
