Louisiana Man Makes History As First NFL Cheerleader

Atlanta Falcons v New Orleans Saints

The Saints cheerleading squad is helping to break barriers, as 25-year-old member Jesse Hernandez is the first male cheerleader in the NFL.

The Maurice native made his debut with the New Orleans Saintsations on Friday night when the Saints hosted the Cardinals.

Hernandez first made headlines in the spring when he was chosen as a finalist for the squad.

Although there have been some people who have made homophobic comments about Hernandez, most people have been supportive of him and have taken to social media to cheer him on.
