A bank robber is on the run after holding up a Capital One branch in Metairie Tuesday.
Authorities say he may have been stained when a red dye pack included with the cash he stole exploded after exiting the bank, stained money flying out of the bag.
Jefferson Parish deputies converged on the scene, but there was no immediate arrest after a search of the area.
According to the FBI, who is assisting in the investigation:
The suspect is described as a White male, approximately 30 to 40 years old, between 5’8” to 5’10,” and weighs approximately 200 to 225 pounds. He was wearing a blue short-sleeved button down shirt and a green and white knit cap.
