It's a go for Burrow.
LSU football's official depth chart released Monday for the season-opener against Miami lists Ohio State transfer Joe Burrow as the starter at quarterback, beating out Myles Brennan.
The news came after head coach Ed Orgeron told reporters he had met with both quarterbacks to deliver the decision, adding he would talk with the team before the starter's name would be announced to the media.
Sports Illustrated's Ross Dellenger tweeted Monday afternoon that both quarterbacks were shown grades of their preseason work, and in some areas Brennan out-performed Burrow, but Burrow's experience won out in the end.
The Tigers and Hurricanes kick-off the 2018 season at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas Sunday at 6:30 p.m. on ABC.
