Tulane Falls In Overtime To Wake Forest, 23-17

Tulane and Wake Forest went late into the night at Yulman Stadium Thursday before the Green Wave fell to the Demon Deacons in overtime, 23-17.

Tulane was behind Wake Forest for most of the game before taking the lead late in the 3rd quarter.

The Deacons were then able to retake the lead early in the 4th to make it 17 to 14. A late field goal from Tulane's Merek Glover tied the game at 17 and sent it into extra time.

Wake Forest , however, scored the first touchdown in OT.

Tulane looks to bounce back Saturday, September 8 when the Wave welcomes Nicholls to Yulman Stadium. In the New Orleans area, coverage begins at 6 p.m. on Sports 1280 New Orleans (WODT-AM). Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
