The gap between what you're paying for a gallon of gasoline in Louisiana today, and what you were paying a year ago, is closing.
AAA reports the statewide average price of regular is sticking around the $2.58 a gallon mark, down about a nickel from a month ago.
What's noteworthy is that the fuel is costing drivers only 18 cents more than at this time last year, when back around June regular was about 50 cents higher than a year earlier.
