Slidell Teacher Out After Posting Racially Inflammatory Remarks

While there's no confirmation on whether she's been fired or resigned, a Slidell High School math teacher accused of posting racially inflammatory remarks on Facebook no longer works for the St. Tammany Parish School District.

School officials confirmed that much Tuesday, noting the social media comments Valerie Scogin posted after the debut of the Nike ad campaign featuring Colin Kaepernick do not reflect the district's "values, mission and vision."

Scogin has since apologized for her remarks, saying she made them out of frustration after another Facebook post.
