Cab companies in New Orleans are continuing to close, and one of the last companies left is taking a stand.

United Cabs says it's the only radio dispatch cab company left in the city, and they are pleading to the city hall for help.

President of United Cabs Syed Kazmi says rideshare companies like Uber and Lyft have taken away 70% of taxi customers, but a new city regulation will be the final nail in the casket.

A new ordinance will not allow cars nine years or older to operate as a taxi anymore, despite having to pass a 35-point inspection.

Councilman Jay Banks sides with the taxi company, saying ridesharing companies and taxis should be held to the same regulations.
