A three-year-old boy found unresponsive Tuesday in his wheelchair at a Ponchatoula daycare center is dead after being taken off life support at a New Orleans hospital late yesterday afternoon.
The special needs child had been left in front off a TV at Pediatric Health Choice and found with a harness up under his neck after slipping down in the seat.
Several staff members were on duty at the time, overseeing a small number of children.
Investigators plan to forward their findings to the district attorney's office.
