New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell is suggesting a possible move of City Hall from its home on Perdido Street in the CBD to the Municipal Auditorium.
The auditorium has been empty since being flooded out during Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Cantrell first brought up the idea during a meeting sponsored by the Bureau of Governmental Research, but her office says the location is one of only several possible locations.
The public is expected to get a say on the matter before any decision is made.
