A garbage truck worker is dead after being struck while operating controls on the right side of the vehicle in Terrebonne Parish.
State police say 45-year-old Gerald Houston of Houma died at the scene of the crash Tuesday morning on LA-24 in the town of Gray.
Troopers say that 26-year-old Dylan Morris of Schriever was driving his Toyota Tundra fatigued when the pickup hit Houston.
No charges had been announced as of last night.
