The 59-year-old son of former Louisiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Pascal Calogero Jr. is accused of conspiring to commit the sex trafficking of a minor.

Pascal Calogero the Third of Metairie was charged with the crime yesterday in a single federal indictment handed up in New Orleans.

He's accused of paying to have sex with a 14-year-old girl and arranging other prostitution dates for the teen with other men.

If convicted as charged, Calogero could face up to life in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000.
