State Looking To Address Cybersecurity Threats

October will be observed in Louisiana as Cybersecurity Awareness Month.

Governor John Bel Edwards signed just such a proclamation during a ceremony Thursday attended by members of a Cybersecurity Task Force.

Members of the group are leading the state's efforts to address cyber threats that are deemed to be immense by the panel's co-chair.

No details are being released about legislation that's expected to be proposed to state lawmakers next year to address the problem.
