Bond is set at $350,000 for the man accused in the shooting death of LSU basketball player Wayde Sims.
Information from tipsters and a pair of glasses found at the scene helped authorities identify the suspected killer as 20-year-old Dyteon Simpson of Baker.
Cellphone video showed several individuals involved in a fight prior to gunshots being fired. Police say Sims was shot in the neck while stepping in to defend a friend of his during the confrontation early Friday morning across from the Southern University campus.
