Republican U.S. Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana says he's in favor of information collected in an ongoing FBI investigation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh being made public.
He said Tuesday the American people ought to know what's in the report. The Advocate reports Kennedy calls it a "very unusual circumstance."
The FBI was asked to investigate allegations of a sexual assault 36 years ago made against Kavanaugh, a Supreme Court nominee, but Senate leaders prefer release of the agency's findings be restricted to senate members and a handful of top aides.
