LSU is advising members of Greek Life of the university's decision to ban tailgating by fraternities and sororities at Greek houses and the LSU Parade Ground.
Pending further developments, the order is scheduled to remain in effect through the remainder of this year's football season and is blamed on a lack of game-day security.
The situation arose when the contract with the university's current security company expired and no other firm stepped forward to take its place.
