A New Orleans police officer is recovering after his head hit a wall during a struggle with a drug suspect Wednesday.
The incident happened in the Central City neighborhood around the noon hour. The NOPD says officers had stopped a male, possibly in his teens, for suspicious drug activity.
In the suspect's attempt to escape, a struggle led to the officer's head hitting a wall, leaving it bruised.
The names of the officer and the suspect were not immediately available.
