New Orleans police are investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered late Saturday night in an eight-foot deep well.
Authorities say the remains were discovered in a wooded area near Florida Avenue in Gentilly by someone in search of firewood who was drawn to the well by a foul odor and flies.
The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office is working to identify the man and determine how he died.
