Gasoline prices in the state are headed for higher ground. The statewide average price of regular has climbed to $2.67 a gallon in Louisiana.
AAA says that's a seven-cent increase compared to last Wednesday, with no back-peddling of prices seen in the near future.
A year ago, regular was averaging $2.29 a gallon in the Pelican State, or about 37 cents less than today.
