Slidell-Area Woman Accused In Near-Drowning Death Of Infant Son

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office says a Slidell-area woman is facing a second-degree child cruelty charge in the near-drowning death of her eleven-month-old son.

Officials say that Nancy Goodale was arrested Wednesday following an investigation into the October 1st incident. She was allegedly impaired when she left the boy in a bathtub, returning several minutes later to find him face down in the water.

He was revived and is said to be in good condition and taken into state custody following his hospitalization.
