John Hill, Former New Orleans Saint, Has Passed Away

Former New Orleans Saints great John Hill has passed away at the age of 68 on Sunday.

Hill played center for the team for ten years and was named to the club's all-50th team back in 2016. Drafted by the New York Giants in 1972, Hill joined the Saints in 1975.

The organization issued a statement mourning the loss of Hill, who appeared in 138 games during his time with New Orleans. From NewOrleansSaints.com:

"For me personally, (football) made me the man I am," Hill said in a 2016 interview the weekend he was honored for being a member of the Saints' all-50th team. "Learning how to overcome obstacles, keep going forward with your goals."
