Hundreds of people gathered in Metairie last night to remember the victims of the synagogue massacre Saturday in Pittsburgh.

WVUE/FOX 8 reports the seats at Shir Chadash Conservative Congregation were filled with people from all walks of life.

Arnie Fielkow, who heads up the Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans, says the vigil was held to send the message that this area won't tolerate hate.

The attack was allegedly carried out by Robert Bowers and left eleven people dead and several injured.
