AAA is reporting that the statewide average price of regular has dropped into the ballpark of $2.54 a gallon, down about a nickel from last Monday.
Gas price tracking site GasBuddy says drivers in the New Orleans and Baton Rouge areas are likely seeing prices around $2.48 a gallon.
