Grant Could Create More Protected Bike Lanes In NOLA

A new grant could create more protected bike lanes for riders.

According to NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune, the $2.6 million grant from PeopleForBikes would go towards the city's commitment towards creating a safer environment for bikers.

Officials are planning to spend around $10 million on aggressive, low-stress bike infrastructure by creating 75 miles of protected bike lanes.

A spokesperson for Mayor LaToya Cantrell cautions the grant is not yet finalized.
